Introduction

I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe is not a new song. The movie came out more recently detailing the story of Bart Millard the writer of the song. This song was written after the passing of his father.

Walking By God’s Side

When we get to heaven we will for the first time set eyes on our Savior, we get to walk with him. What a glorious moment this will be. We spend our whole life getting to know someone that we only see through what he has created and then get to see him face to face at the end of our life. We strive to live our lives in such a way that when we come face to face with our savior we hear him say “well done my good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:21, ESV).”

Surrounded By Gory

When we finally have the opportunity to be in the presence of our Savior what will we do? Will we be so overcome with his presence that we fall to our knees? Or will we start dancing with joy in his presence? There is no way to know our individual reaction until we reach that moment. But it is something amazing for us to look forward to as we navigate the difficulties of this life.

Worship Him Forever

In this life we have so many priorities pulling at us that it is hard to find time to worship. When we get to heaven that will be our sole focus. For the rest of time we get to be in the presence of our Lord and Savior and worship him as he intended in the beginning.
