Untitled Hymn

Untitled Hymn

Introduction

Untitled Hymn by Chris Rice is not a new song but the message is compelling. The song in many ways traces the path of salvation and the journey that take place in the life of Christians.

Come & Sing

Our sins keep us separated from God only when we come to Jesus can we be freed of our sins. The love of Christ calls us to him and when we accept that love we are welcomed into the family and are given the opportunity to be free of our sins and live in Christ. Once the burden of sin is lifted and the blood of Christ has purified us we are considered blameless in the eyes of God. The joy of being freed from sin leads us to sing and rejoice in the presence of God.

Fall & Cry

As we begin our walk with Christ we are like babies learning and maturing as we go. Our walk with Christ isn’t perfect especially in the beginning and sometimes we fall. But in our new life Christ is always there to pick us up and put us back on the straight and narrow. Our new walk with Christ isn’t always well received by those who knew us before and they may abandon us. But Christ will never abandon us (Hebrews 13:5). We rely on him he is there for us even when things appear the darkest.

Dance & Fly

As we continue in our walk we are continually filled with the joy of our salvation. When that joy overflows we want to tell the world and dance in the presence of our savior. At the end of our lives we are taken to heaven where we will rejoice in the presence of our savior far all eternity.

Conclusion

Our walk with Christ is a lifelong journey. When we begin to hear the call of love and ultimately accept Christ as our savior we begin this journey. This journey leads us to our Savior but may also be lonely causing us to lean heavily on Christ. At the end of the journey we are taken to the presence of our Savior where we will be in his presence forever.
